《現實公園中的雪人》最早是為1995年由Jan Hoet策劃的群展《水面漣漪》而創作。該展覽將日本青山市中心變成了一個大型戶外藝術館。每天午飯前，在南青山麒麟啤酒公司員工聚集的私人公園裡，一輛冷藏物流車會送來一個雪人冰雕。每天雕塑都會自然融化，第二天再行更換。
