羅尼．霍恩自1990年代後期開始創作玻璃雕塑。為了製作這些雕塑，霍恩將彩色熔融玻璃倒入模具中，經過幾個月的時間逐漸退火或冷卻。雕塑側面保留了鑄造模具的粗糙感，頂部光滑且有光澤，如結晶般的水池或北極冰塊，俯視雕塑時，雕塑的內部近似於水的外觀。
