傅丹於2012年贏得「HUGO BOSS獎」首獎、2015年代表丹麥參加威尼斯雙年展。作品及各式藝術計畫也在紐約古根漢美術館、法國龐畢度中心、瑞士巴塞爾藝術館、香港M+、柏林雙年展及新加坡雙年展等大型美術館及展會展出。他探討文化衝突的傳承與建構、創傷和價值觀，以詩意的方式闡述對於歷史、政治、信仰及身分認同等議題。
