How Architecture Grows is a large-format exhibition catalog measuring 25.6 x 36 cm, published to accompany the touring exhibition of Japanese architect Junya Ishigami (1974–) at the arc en rêve centre d’architecture in Bordeaux, France, between 2013 and 2014. It showcases ethereal, dreamlike architectural concepts, such as “Restaurant with Distant Views” and “Pond and House.” Through photographs of exhibition models paired with text, the book presents spatial ideas that are both fairy-tale-like and logically rigorous.
